We're excited to welcome the newest member of APositive, Olivia. She joins the team in Melbourne and is part of sales, working closely with Chief Revenue Officer, Darren in that office and the rest of the sales team in Sydney. Olivia's role is to generate leads and book meetings for the sales consultants with recruitment and labour hire company owners.
A big welcome to the team! How has life at APositive been so far? Tell us about your role in the company.
Thank you! Life at APositive has been great so far, the whole team has been extremely welcoming to me and it's been a pleasure getting to know so many new faces. My role as an Associate Consultant is to be the lead generator for the sales team. It involves getting to chat to lots of people in the recruitment and labour hire space every day, making cold and warm calls, speaking to people who would like to get into the recruitment space, business development as well as facilitating meetings for our sales consultants.
Who is Olivia Cassar? Do you have any hobbies? Secret talents?
One of my favourite hobbies is to go and watch the AFL with family and friends on the weekend, go Carlton! When I'm not at the footy, or working, I enjoy going to pilates and going out with friends. A secret talent that people may not know about me is that I have played piano since I was little. I also love painting when I have some free time.
Tell us a bit about what brings you to APositive. What were you doing before you got here?
I first heard of APositive through a family member who has partnered with them before. They said they thought it would be a great place to work. After doing my own research about the company and the work they do with recruitment and labour hire businesses, I thought it seemed like a really interesting career.
Before I started working at APositive I was working in real estate as a property manager. Although the industries are very different, the core principles around relationship building are the same and I knew I could take those skills that I had learnt and use them at APositive. I have enjoyed the jump from B2C to B2B, seeing what successful recruitment businesses are achieving and also being able to play a part in their journey.
What is your first impression of APositive? Our finance and payroll solutions? The team?
My first impressions of APositive is that they really care about their clients and their team. Walking into work and seeing a team of really positive and enthusiastic people is a testament to the great culture they have built. Reading our Trust Pilot reviews, and seeing the relationships that have been built with our clients demonstrates that the same level of care they show to their staff is also present with each and every customer.
My first impressions of our products is that APositive has created a really amazing solution designed to help businesses grow and succeed. The more I learn about our products, the more I see how much work has been put in to really make it an end to end solution, and to tailor that solution to different businesses needs. I like that APositive does not view their work as transactional, but rather as a partnership.
What are you hoping to achieve here with us?
What I'm hoping to achieve at APositive is to be able to play a part in helping recruitment and labour hire businesses grow and succeed in the market. I'm also hoping to build long-standing relationships, learn more about the recruitment and labour hire space, and grow my career at APositive!
