Who are APositive?

APositive are workforce experts, specialising in funding and back office solutions for recruitment, labour hire and other contingent labour industries. The company was founded in Melbourne in 2013 by Danny Marlow and Errol Katz.

How do I partner with and refer to APositive?

Which industries do you work with?

We specialise in supporting workforce businesses; such as recruitment, labour hire and other contingent labour industries. We focus on how you bill your clients, so if you charge your clients on a time-based arrangement, then we can support you.

What is the difference between invoice finance and payroll funding?

Invoice finance allows your access up-front funds against unpaid client invoices whenever you need them. Payroll funding is an invoice finance solution that is integrated with your timesheet and payroll tech, providing you with access to cash flow to fund your payroll.

What makes APositive different to other invoice finance providers?

We specialise in partnering with workforce businesses. We have developed our own finance tech, built specifically for those industries and offer a range of other services, such as payroll management, bad debt protection and a recruit now, pay later product for permanent recruitment. Our team of recruitment experts can offer guidance to your business and refer you to other workforce suppliers from our network of partners.

AFinance

Am I eligible for AFinance?

We work with workforce companies in Australia and New Zealand; from startups to mature businesses. We work with both temporary and permanent recruitment agencies.

What does AFinance cost?

There are a range of pricing models available to help meet your individual requirements.

We can charge a single fee as a percentage of your invoice so that you know your costs upfront and impact on your gross margin, or we can provide a Line of Credit where you pay for the funds you draw.

There are three main factors that determine the fees we charge, and once we know this information, we can set a fee relevant to your needs:

  • The type of timesheet and invoicing system you have in place to manage payroll and invoicing
  • The credit quality of your customers
  • Your customer payment terms

For our Line of Credit pricing we align our charge rate to a variable base rate:

  • Australian Base Rate: 9.78% as at 11.01.2024
  • New Zealand Base Rate: 11.21% as at 14.06.2023

These are base rates only. In addition, a margin rate may apply as separately disclosed to you. These rates may change from time to time.

What is the advance rate?

We advance up to 90% of the value of your invoices.

How quickly can I get funded?

It is possible to get you set-up and drawing on funds within 48 hours, subject to the completion of the application process, delivery of all necessary information and credit approval.

How do I draw funds?

Funding can be automated or you can log in to your finance portal to draw on funds. Your balance is repaid as your clients pay their invoices.

Will my customers know I'm using AFinance?

The majority of our AFinance facilities are disclosed meaning that your customers are aware, however, there is an option to have a confidential facility if you meet certain eligibility requirements.

Will I need to sell my invoices to APositive?

No, they remain your invoices. We simply leverage the value of those invoices to provide you access to cash flow. Collecting payments and managing customer relationships remain your responsibility.

Can I fund permanent placement invoices?

Yes, you can fund permanent recruitment invoices via your AFinance facility. Alternatively, we have a Recruit Now, Pay Later product, APay which allows employers to pay recruitment fees in 3-6 month instalments.

It is fully white-labelled solution with your branding. We offer an outsourced solution, with an in-house look and feel.

Do you integrate with my recruitment software?

APayroll seamlessly integrates with various tech platforms; such as CRM/ATS and accounting packages.

Do you onboard our candidates?

Yes, this process can be tailored during set-up to suit your specific requirements.

Do you invoice our clients?

Yes, following each payroll run we raise client invoices and send them on your behalf.

APay

How do I apply for APay?

Applying for APay involves just a short online application form, however the best way to get started is to speak to one of our Workforce Finance Consultants (via the Contact Us button at the top of this page) to discuss in detail.

Am I eligible for APay?

APay is available to both recruiters and employers involved in permanent recruitment.

Is there a cost to sign up?

There is no fee to sign up to APay.

What is the fee structure?

The first 3 months costs 4% of invoice value, and then an extra 1% per additional month up to 6 months.

  • 3 monthly instalments = 4%
  • 4 monthly instalments = 5%
  • 5 monthly instalments = 6%
  • 6 monthly instalments = 7%

Who pays the fee?

You have the flexibility to choose, it can be paid by either the recruiter or the employer.

How do I upload an invoice?

Invoices are submitted either through an integration with JobAdder or via a custom-branded landing page with a simple online form.

Will APay fund any invoice value I submit?

Yes, we can offer instalment payment plans on any permanent placement invoice.
