At APositive, we’re dedicated to driving success for businesses, and Brandon Krongold plays a key role in that mission. With a fresh perspective on recruitment finance and a background in marketing, Brandon is already making his mark at APositive in just a few months. In this Q&A, he shares insights about his role, challenges he's faced, and what excites him most about the future.
What got you into recruitment finance, and how’s it been for you so far?
I’ve loved the last few months at APositive. From day one, it really felt like an inclusive environment where I was valued and appreciated. Working across the marketing and sales teams has been amazing, especially learning and understanding their needs so we can align them with our marketing efforts. Coming from a different industry, I saw this as a great challenge and an opportunity to join a fast-growing company. Danny and Darren clearly outlined my role, making it an easy choice to join.
Even though you’ve only been at APositive for a few months, what’s been the best part of the role and the team?
The people! We have some of the nicest and friendliest co-workers I’ve ever worked with. On my first day, I remember being told, “We have the nicest people and a strong culture,” and that’s been true since day one. For me, the best part of my role is the dynamism. Every day brings a new challenge and objective that we need to tackle to match the extraordinary work being done across the other teams. I love that every day is different!
What’s been the biggest challenge you’ve faced in your first year in the industry, and how have you tackled it?
Learning about invoice financing for recruitment agencies was a completely new concept for me. I tackled it by reading APositive’s blogs and content, listening to our podcasts, and watching the Greg Savage webinar. This helped me understand the importance of the industry and what APositive does, which has allowed me to excel in my role within the marketing department and deliver better content for our current and potential customers.
What’s something you’re really excited to work on or achieve while you’re at APositive
I’m super excited about developing APositive Insights, which is a major part of the content we’re looking to roll out. I want to make APositive a leader in industry content and set a new standard within the recruitment sector. The podcast is going to kick off soon, and it’ll focus on big topics with exciting guests—so keep an eye out for that!
Outside of work, what do you like to do to relax and keep a good work-life balance?
Somewhat outside the box, but cooking! My first job was as a chef, and I love everything about cooking—the process, the exploration, and the creativity. It’s something I’m really passionate about. I also love sports—footy, basketball, soccer, NFL—you name it, I either follow or play it!
