I have extensive corporate and consulting experience with startups and finance SMEs. After completing a Medical Degree at Monash University in 1993, I went on to study Law and finally a Master of Public Policy at Harvard University in 1996-98.
I spent five years as a Management Consultant with The Boston Consulting Group in 1998. I then spent eight years with Visy and the Pratt Group where I held strategy, M&A and operational roles, including as Director of New and Emerging Business.

Since leaving Visy, I’ve worked as a private equity investment manager for a number of companies. I hold senior executive positions for several startups including ChooseWell and Salus Healthcare. I'm also a non-Executive Director of Primary Healthcare, and Deputy Chair of Monash Health.
I’ve worked extensively in finance, banking, health, advertising, media and telecommunications for more than 20-years. My expertise? Adding shareholder value by harnessing technology and people.
I joined Jagen Pty Ltd in June 2006 as an investment manager to assist investee companies in increasing shareholder value. And, I’ve been involved in a number of corporate transactions since.

Before joining APositive as director in 2013, I was the CTO/CIO of a number of professional services and product based companies where my responsibilities included:
- Mapping strategic technology direction to establish current and long term technology objectives; and
- Creating a technical vision for the company, including project managing software and infrastructure implementations.
I hold a Bachelor of Science (double major Computer Science) from Monash University, 1990.

Prior to arriving in Australia, I have worked in UK/London where I worked on multiple projects within pensions finance and data analysis, identifying and implementing process improvements. Now using my unique experience, I provide a truly consultative service, ensuring I understand your business, it's goals and requirements.
I have over 10 year’s experience in technology and recently cloud software. With a passion for understanding business, building trusting customer partnerships and relationships. I’ve worked closely with accountants across Australia to help prepare SMEs with the latest payroll and business solutions.
After finishing University in the UK, I have built up twenty years of experience delivering finance solutions for growing businesses. After arriving in Brisbane in 2002, I have held both operational and sales roles within banking and international finance companies helping Australian businesses achieve their growth aspirations. Having worked with clients from start up to those turning over hundreds of millions, I particularly enjoy seeing the results that our finance facilities deliver to new start and SME businesses. I am a keen Kite Surfer and when not out on Botany Bay or Cotton Tree in Qld, I’m busy delivering tailored finance solutions to new APositive customers.
Since 2010, I have specialised in assisting SME businesses manage their cash flow and growth needs through cash flow funding. Starting in the banking industry, I spent my first five years in an operations role where I gained an in-depth knowledge of a business' day to day cash flow requirements. From there I spent the next three years working at one of Australia's largest Debtor Finance providers in a Business Development role. Coupled with a Bachelor Degree in Accounting, this experience has positioned me well to consult with Directors and CFO's of growing businesses on structuring a solution to best meet their funding needs.
After finishing university, I started my career working within the finance department of an ASX listed company, where I was responsible for managing the financial accounts and cash flow reporting for 7 of their subsidiaries. I then realised I did not want to spend the rest of my working life in front of a spreadsheet, so when I moved to the UK I took the opportunity to start a career in recruitment. I worked for 3 strong recruitment businesses, where I was successful at building a dual desk of contracting and permanent placements. I was then headhunted by a recruitment specific financier and have never looked back. I have a unique skill set of working within finance and recruitment, which gives me the skills to understand the daily challenges of a recruitment business and how to overcome them.

After working in four countries, I consider myself well-seasoned and adaptable to any environment. I have honed my invoice finance skills at a range of companies from big banks to boutique services. It would be fair to say that if something has happened out there in the invoice finance market, I have seen it. I pride myself of being customer focused, innovative and I am always ready to challenge the norm.
I have recently joined APositive after more than 6 years experience in the banking and finance industry, working with SMEs and cashflow funding products with a particular focus on invoice finance.Prior to that I completed a Bachelor Degree in Accounting / Banking and Finance.
I have gained valuable knowledge and insight through the various roles I have held within the invoice finance sector spanning across client relationship management, operations and risk analysis. IT Development Team
I am a passionate technologist who has spent more than 20 years designing and implementing software. I have a broad range of experience from working internationally at big banks, superannuation administration and smaller (yet high scale) SaaS product companies. I am always looking for opportunities to learn and improve with a special focus on automation. I have spent the last 3 years as senior developer and product architect with Xero which provides a great foundation to develop innovative financial technology for APositive.
I'm a developer interested in music, productivity and self-improvement with substantial experience working on large-scale SaaS products. I enjoy working across all aspects of product development. I believe that a deeper understanding of the stack allows one to architect higher quality/more robust solutions. I revel in building applications/systems from the ground up as well as maintaining and enhancing pre-existing systems. I love that one can never know too much about technology - there is always an opportunity to continue expanding and applying my knowledge base.
I eat minutiae with a sprinkle of chia for breakfast and generally follow up with a vigorous session of annihilating complexity. User experience is everything and is too often underinvested in. Fortunately, I’ve been able to devote the last fifteen years developing user interfaces to understand what works and what doesn’t. I’m excited by the doorways that new technology opens for efficiency and scale. Anyone with half an ounce of ambition can succeed in this climate but you still need great people around you. I’m grateful to be part of such an impressive team at APositive.
